All is set for this year's Uganda Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize

The Uganda Golf Club Lady Captain has announced hosting the UGC Lady Captain’s Prize slatted for  March, 16,  2024 at the Uganda Golf Club- Kitante.

This event is held at the end of each term of the UGC Lady Captain.

The UGC Ladies section held an AGM on March, 7, marked the end of the term of the Lady  Captain and her team.

However, Wendy Angudeyo was reelected as Lady Captain for a second term.

At the Lady Captain’s Prize event, the old executive will hand over to the new executive, which Wendy will

continue to lead.

The new executive is composed of Wendy Angudeyo (Lady Captain), Sarah Nduhukire (Vice Lady Captain), Hon. Patience Nkunda (Secretary), Berna Musanabera (Treasurer) and Flavia Namakula (Competitions Secretary).

“I have served as UGC Lady Captain for one year so far and I am happy to have been reelected to serve for a second year. I enjoyed my first year and I have grown into the role. I am grateful to the outgoing team for all the work they put in to make my tenure a success. I will continue the good work with the new team. I invite all golfers to come and enjoy this tournament,” said  Angudeyo.

She over  200 golfers are expected to participate in the event in the different categories.

Speaking at the presser, the UBL Innovations Projects Manager, Simon Lapyem said,” WhiteCap Crisp congratulates Wendy and her team upon her two term as Lady Captain, and as we continue to celebrate women this March, we continue to champion inclusion through supporting all the women who are breaking barriers within different sectors especially male-dominated spaces such as sports."
